I disliked the process of making this. Not only did my mother keep stopping me from drawing periodically, which meant losing the design, but also I discovered that my coloring method is very unstable: it took me awhile to get the specific image in my mind to be replicated. Anyways, I'll add a description and also my WIP tutorial right after, now for the description:
A race I created from my bored mind :)
Xehloes are a combination of reptile and avian, preferably the peacock. They lose their ability to fly and are only able to glide when reaching adulthood due to their growing weight. When the feathers are long enough, they're are tied together so it can be used as a hood to protect their heads from intolerable weather but can be loosen whenever required. And as a substitution to going to higher grounds, they can climb efficiently and even hang upside-down away from predators.
The children have single-colored skin until their feathers start to grow 3 years after birth.
The males usually have fluffy-end feathers while the females' are sharp and males compete for their partners by performing a dance in order to impress their mate with their vibrant colored feathers.
They are able to defend themselves with the feathers that grow on their arms which are sharper than a refined blade which also signifies their skills in hand-to-hand combat.
And more to come....(probably)
