ha! I used to have to do that with my pants. only I also used to have to add 6 inches of fabric to the bottom. I'm tall so when pants fit my waist, they weren't always long enough. Though if I hadn't had a sewing machine when I was yonger, I probably would have just worn everything so short that I'd look like I was ready for a flood 24/7
