[5/29/07] Kaisanti wanted a wing tutorial. I tried my best and did some very basic wing shapes as I see them.
Just remember, no matter how large or how small the bird, the type of feathers and their placement is the same (I've colored the different types of feathers on the wing). I would definitely use references; photos of birds and wings. I would also look at the smaller birds first. The feather placement is a little easier to grasp on them.
The wings in the pic are not meant to be those of a little bird, however. The size and shape of a wing is dependent on what type of flying habits a bird has. Take the extreme dichotomy of a hummingbird's thin pointy wings to a grouse's large round wings.

Oh a pheasant wing is going to differ completely based on load. This is just a generic wing shape to show the layout of feathers. And thanks! Considering I can't draw a straight line, let alone two parrallel ones, to save my life I think I did pretty good on this XD
