Well he did give her that cursed eye in an experiment gone wrong, there is not much love between them.

They don't even share the same surname, her parents never married. Zofia's is Kirschner, from her mother's, and Mikhail's last name is Liebrecht. Her mother died when she was seven or so, her father took her in. He payed little attention to her, always too busy with his career, sent her to an Alephian Church boarding school pretty much right away.
