Here was the last riso print I did in my printmaking class. I had some old booklets they were giving out for free at a bromeliad show nearby, so I brought one with me and tried to use those plants as a starting point. They have such beautiful shapes and textures! I ended up messing up my riso layers, most of the prints came out very mis-aligned but these two luckily came through. The purple line was another accident, but ended up being my favorite version.

They react well! Most of the time the people in my class don't primarily draw, so they are usually just impressed that I can at all haha. The furryness doesn't really put anyone off, and the classes are only about 2.5 hours so there's not a lot of time to deliberate or feel self conscious, just gotta make the work! Most people in my classes like to work with more text and graphic design, or photography, which are all really cool using riso too!
