Adler Meyer quickly grew to love his kind's Crinos form-it was more freeing than all the power and money in the world to soar through the night sky and see the world below in perfect detail. Its unstoppable strength was also another bonus, one that he made extensive use of while fighting for his House. It earned him his deed name soon enough as well.

On one of his first few missions, his flock was captured by Fomori with the use of toxic gas. They were bound with thick chains and tossed into a room to await pickup by corporate research assets. Adler woke up first, and in a fit of rage ripped free of the chains with his bare hands before freeing his comrades. The team sent to collect them were met with furious talons, and the Eyrie dubbed him 'Steel Breaker' in recognition of his impossible strength.
