I don't think Gervic will want to go to his homeland. He's already chosen Vlagg, so Zaer will have to stop looking for him. After all, Bob's spell can't be undone, and our wolf will forever be a chimera. Except why hasn't he fallen into chimera madness? And yes, I hope Aravin escaped on that ship.
I like how the dragons question why they are not tied down or if they are taken prisoner. As if allegiance should be a concern right now after fleeing from a purge. They have bigger concerns right now of a puma that will raze the world to dust.
Zaer will have to be fast to find Gervic again as Zudrec will not stop his madness until he pulverized the person responsible for the death of Cobby.
