So this is a drawing I did of Atomsk/Canti on red Mi-Teintes paper with black and white Conte Crayon. I really dig the medium. The idea is that the values you use go from black to white with all the shades of the paper in between. All or some.
To put it simply, the greys in this drawing aren't technically "grey" they're dark red.
The robot there is Atomsk from FLCL (I totally recommend you watch, really short series). Atomsk is this Space Pirate who, at first, was inhabiting a Medical Mechanica robot until Haruko knocked him out of it. Haruko is hunting Atomsk. but I won't get into details here.
It was quite crappily stitched together. All I got is a small scanner so I had to scan each of four corners of this and stick them together as best I could. You can totally see some value differences between the different scans though.
Yes, I know it looks scratchy, I COULD have tightened it up a bit, but I CHOSE not to. I like that scratchy. Apparently so does my art teacher. This got an A.
