300mm x 320mm (Ish. I forgot to measure it)
Acrylic on board.
This was for the CF artshow which had a 1920's theme, and was inspired by the wonderful period photographs of dancing couples.
I wanted to experiment a bit with this one, and I liked the idea of a crisp stylised image painted on top of something totally loose.
Acrylics don't really lend themselves to the smooth blending I like, so I have to dilute them down to the consistency of milk and apply lots of layers, a bit like egg tempera. As a technique it works quite well, but it's time consuming.
Still, worth it in the end, eh?

I wouldn't know of the end result, I didn't stay in Manchester long enough to be at the con for all of the days.
Given, yes, it would have indeed been nicer on a wall, but those hanging grids they have at CFz are a practical but yet poor excuse for a wall. It didn't look bad on the table!
