Yup boys and girls I've come up with a new near human species. ^^ As always with my new species you'll get a Mass Effect style Codex entry on the species and more specific information on Denji himself.

The Hevesh are a human derived species native to the world of Gelka. Gelka is a large terrestrial world approximately 1.5 earth masses and is tidally locked with the system's star. This means that the day side temperatures soar while the night side's temperatures are frigid. The Hevesh live primarily in the twilight area between the day and night sides of the planet To avoid the most severe weather they build their homes and settlements within or near sheltered mountains. The Hevesh are expert climbers with specialized scales on their hands and feet which allow them to scale any surface. Because of this Hevesh rarely wear anything on their hands or feet. Hevesh also have a second clear eye lid which can close over their eyes to prevent damage from dust and dirt commonly kicked up during storms. These eye lids also however play another crucial role. They can go from clear and darken to block out excess light on the planet's day side. Hevesh also have optimal hearing able to cut through typical background noises of their world. The Hevesh are also physically stronger than base line humans due to the riggers of living in a higher gravity environment. Cuturally they are an industrious people. Their world is a major center of trade as it produces ore critical for ship building. Hevesh are generally accepting of differences of others. Their families tending to be rather tight nit.

Denji is a young Hevesh approximately 8 years old. Denji wants to explore the various unsettled regions of his world and is also attracted to the idea of having a grand adventure exploring other worlds. He has a curious streek and will ask any questions that come to mind. Denji's attire is typical of Hevesh children of his age. The average age range at which toilet training usually begins is 8 to 11 years. Though some tend to take longer and a few decide not to train period. Denji here when questioned on this said he wasn't sure if he'd want to give up his diapers or not. His parents aren't keen to push the issue as for Hevesh it isn't a large one. Especially with the various companies making products to cater to this market which is present on a variety of worlds.
