For many years in his youth, Leon spent a majority of his time learning and training with many various different martial arts styles, for a long long time Leon truly believes that all life is precious and would outright refuse to fight anyone unless absolutely necessary, even more so he truly believed that killing/purging demons and other magical entities like him was not the right path, that everyone should be given a second chance at life even if those he was given a second chance to would probably run off and wreak more havoc and chaos on those who could not defend themselves.
True to Leon's way of thinking he favored one style of martial arts over the rest, Wing Chun. Leon believed that Wing Chun was the most viable and reliable for self defense only, and all though other fighting styles were seemingly "marked" and used for self defense, Leon noticed that many people often fell into a power hungry vacuum after learning, Karate per say, using their new found fighting style on the offense and becoming the very things those people swore to destroy. With Wing Chun deeply rooted in the peaceful Buddhist teachings, and Wing Chun quite literally meaning "Constant rebirth" it felt very natural for Leon to learn a fighting style that primarily focuses on using an opponents momentum and strength against them in counteractive reactive movements, coupled that with Leon also being a big believer in Feng Shui it was a match made in heaven. Leon had found and practiced a style that many for a long long time considered foolish or weak, incapable of keeping up with a Karate master, Tai Chi, Judo, Kung Fu, Muay Thai, Jii Jitsu, etc but history will attest that maybe one shouldn't consider Wing Chun so foolish, after all, Wing Chun's favorite victim is a cocky one. As Hecate, a world renewed MMA fighter is about to find out~
Ahhh what a lovely lovely piece that I got finished here a few weeks ago! The idea was spurred after having watched through a few movies in a series of films called the IP man franchise. IP man of course was a real martial artist and an individual who perfected the dying art of Wing Chun and most noticeably the master of world renowned fighter and actor Bruce Lee. After watching the movies again and having thought for a while, I felt as though Leon in his younger years would've been someone who really did not want to kill as explained by his backstory he's not all bad, and I figured he would know some form of fighting style if for someone reason his magic were to stop or maybe his weapons/arsenal were unavailable to him.
Leon belongs to myself and Leon's starting pose is the starting pose for Wing Chun
Hecate belongs to
creme cheese thanks again boo for being in another piece with me. Hecate's starting pose is a common defensive pose in MMA
