But in a nut shell. In L4D2, if your group is being swarmed my Infected and the saferoom is near by. Some players will ditch their teammates and run for the saferoom. Karma Charger (It can also be a Smoker, Hunter, Jockey, or tank) is the Special infected that catches you and kills you before you get there. It being Bad Karma to ditch your friends. Thus the name. The comic explains it better then I do though. So just read that.
