a bunch of creatures for a large gang-bang commission! Which you will see shortly too!
I do these sorts of line-ups to gauge scales, test markings/colors, before I start the commission... it makes my life much easier. Maybe it also turns the final gangbang into a kind of Where's Waldo...
Some of these designs originate from a video game (Suchomimus-- the large theropod with the red & blue markings, Hatzegopteryx-- the largest pterosaur here with the huge beak, Thalassodromeus-- the white pterosaur on the far left, and Rhamphorhynchus-- the small black pterosaur with a yellow-tiped beak and green accent) & I worked off of screencaps provided by the commissioner of their avatars, taking some liberties in interpretation.
the rest of the critters seen here are my own interpretations of various small avian raptors, lots of varied pterosaur species, sinosauropteryx & koreaceratops! I was given various birds & other critters to base off of but was also asked to put my own spin on everything.
I spend a lot of my free time learning about a lot of these animals so it was lovely to finally get asked to tackle some extinct beests! Pterosaur are among some of my favorite animals in general (:
