A reconnaissance team from the Lethian 10th Festung mechanized regiment surveys the aftermath of a skirmish between the 10th and a Swechian armored division as Uiratium wells burn brightly in the distance. Operation Zafria Blitz aimed at taking many of the resource rich colonial worlds of the Swechian Empire in the Zafria region which included the planet of Kuitia. The world was home to massive fields of Uiratium wells and refineries that could fuel an entire military operation. Although the combined forces of Lethian and Grumanian forces proved too mobile and aggressive for the Swechian defenders to repel, many of the Uiratium fields and refineries were burned as they retreated heavily polluting the atmosphere while gigantic fires raged across the planet.
