Bugbites | Anthro To Feral Chameleon TF
Flick had found himself back on Arcadia Island for another round of bug catching. He was towards the northern end of the island, where the Island Representative had planted a bunch of flowerbeds all along the cliffs. It was Flick’s favorite spot in the island, as bugs of all sorts were typically able to be found here. Flick had come in the dead of night, as he was in the mood to check out some nocturnal bugs as well. Good thing chameleons had good eyesight in the dark.
Flick was down on his knees in the flowerbed. The only thing he was moving was his eyes, which were darting all over the place in an attempt to scope out any new, beautiful specimens he could make sculptures out of…
And that’s when Flick’s eyes landed on a very shiny, blue ladybug…? It was so shiny that it seemed to be generating its own light…a dazzling blue light.
Immediately, Flick slowly and methodically began to make his way over to the flower the odd bug was resting on… And when Flick was close enough to catch it, he swung his net and scooped it up in a flash.
Flick let out a sound of excitement as his heartbeat began to quicken with excitement. Now that he’d caught the odd bug, he had plenty of time to allow his being to fill up with excitement at his new friend.
“Well hello there little one…I’ve never seen your species before…” Flick cooed at the bug as it scuttled around in the meshes of his net.
“Are you a ladybug…? Never seen a blue one…nor one as shiny as you are…you’re bioluminescent too…” Flick said as he gently traced the bug’s path of movement with his finger. Flick always felt that he could spiritually communicate with every bug he caught, and he could tell this one wasn’t too pleased.
“Ah…don’t worry, little friend…I’ll get you back home as soon as possible, I merely need to immortalize your likeness…”
Flick slowly slid his hand under the net and began trying to usher the bug into his hand, and once he managed to get the bug onto his hand, the bug ended up biting him, forcing Flick to yelp in pain and jerk his hand out of the net, accidentally knocking the net over as well, which allowed the bug to fly away.
“Aww…maybe next time..” Flick lamented as he massaged the area of his hand where the bug bit him…despite his love for the creatures, he knew they were very particular creatures, and he had to wait for them to want to accompany him…
And that bite…he should probably get that checked out. Who knows what effects being bitten by an undiscovered bug could bring…
Flick grabbed his net and spare cages and began to head back to where he was staying for the night, but as he stepped out of the flowerbed, Flick suddenly stopped dead in his tracks, and a sudden jolt of odd energy went throughout his body, causing him to tense up and drop his gear.
“Nggh-! I need to go to the doctor-!” Flick’s mind then shifted to the fact that a blue glow similar to the one the bug was emitting…along with that, his hands, primarily his fingers, were beginning to ache heavily.
“Ngggh…wh-what’s happening to me..?” Flick stuttered as he held his hands in front of his face. As he did so, he could feel his crest-piercings beginning to fall right out.
“AGH-! What on Earth?!” He cried out as he felt the empty holes where his piercings used to be. The aching in his fingers spiked at this point, and Flick held them back in front of his eyes again. This gave him a front row seat to watch as his index, middle, ring, and pinky fingers fused together, becoming two toes. His thumbs also went numb as they melded away into his hands.
“AAAAAAAHHH! M-MY HANDS! WH-WHAT’S G- WHAT’S HAPPENING?!” Flick yelled out in terror, followed by his choker unsnapping and falling right off his neck, hitting his boots on the way down.
Speaking of his boots, the laces began to rapidly snap in half, followed by the tops slowly snapping away from the soles. The tops then slid right off of Flick’s feet, and he stumbled away from the soles.
“M-My clothes! S-Someone help! P-Plea-“ Flick’s throat suddenly seized up, preventing him from calling out for help. His arms began to change next, the bones in them snapping and reforming, forcing Flick to hold them right in front of him as they finished reforming into a second set of legs.
The sleeves of Flick’s jacket then tore open, allowing it to slip right off of him, followed by his shirt ripping open right down the middle. Flick tried to hold it closed, but the new anatomy his former arms now took prevented him from doing that, and his shirt fell to the ground, leaving him with just his pants.
Flick tried his absolute hardest to cry out for help, to scream, anything, but all that came out were a few pitiful croaks. His ability to talk in general had been completely stripped from him, and if that wasn’t enough, his head was beginning to fog up…Flick’s memories started to dull, he could barely remember anything that had happened in his life…hell, even his own name was beginning to fade.
Flick began to stumble around absentmindedly as his belt began to snap into pieces and fall right out of the belt loops. His buckle made a soft tinking sound as it hit the ground.
And as Flick stumbled, he ended up falling over, landing on all fours. He tried his absolute hardest to hold onto his memories, he repeatedly reminded himself of who he was, but with each passing reminder, he forgot more and more, until he could only remember one thing; He was a chameleon.
The chameleon’s last article of clothing and connection to his previous life began to rapidly tear itself apart until he was fully naked. The color of his scales then shifted to a dull green as his body shrunk down from its humanoid proportions into small and completely feral ones.
The once-sapient chameleon then wandered off into the night…the only trace that would ever be found of Flick were the shredded remains of his clothes next to the flowerbeds.
