the fall doesn't kill you, it's the stop that kills you.
30 feet off from the ground is the kill zone for everyone, but slowing down the fall or using something to bleed the energy any way possible will save your life.
its all about displacing the energy of the fall.
the only other way i can think of is to use a wind spell to push yourself on the walls to be used to slow down, the other idea is to use ice magic to make an ice road slide
