.When they were a kid, they wanted their ears to be pointy like goblins he loves so much. So he mutilated them to look like their favorite beings.. result in badly scarred pointy ears.
.In addition, when using Wild Shape they can transform into mid-sized brown hyena Gnoll with striped legs and ginger strand of coat.
.They consciously look like a Necromancer, they just like the aesthetic.
