I really enjoyed doing this piece. I drew the design directly on the plate with a red pen that fires away, then 'inked' it with thinned-down china paint and a crowquill pen. It was then fired, and I was able to add the first layer of colors.
I did five fires in all to get the depth of color you see here. The dog tag is real gold!(sorry the shine did not show up in the pic)
I'll be using this at my dealer's table to show folks as an example of what they can order from me.
