“Shit.” Aquos cursed under his breath as he tried to dash away from CM-01 but he was caught mid-dash. Lifted up by his hero suit, the otter took a heavy uppercut and a shot to the face. This continued for another minute before the Aquos was dropped on the hard floor. The rookie was left coughing on his hands and knees. Struggling to stand, struggling to find a solution. He didn’t need to look up to know his mentor was staring over him with a shit-eating grin. Aquos couldn’t tell if he was dizzy or was the shadow under him shimmering.
“B-Ba….” Aquos squinted as a pair of tan triangular eyes appeared and winked back.
“You? My successor? Pathetic.” The seal walked closer to his prone student before lifting his leg. “With you out the way, I’ll be the only hero Piers City will ever need. The only hero they will ever have.”
“F-Fuck you.” The young otter growled. Glancing at his mentor, he noticed the shadow beneath the seal was becoming unruly.
A large black hand spawned between them, catching CM-01 mid-stomp. The sudden appendage caught both of them off-guard.
“Percy, what th- ACKK!!” A large fist knocked back the spotted seal with enough force to remove some of the symbiote from his face. The exposure was only temporary as the synthetic suit healed itself. Aquos was unable to relish in the surprise before he was swiftly lifted to the otherside of the warehouse by two clawed taloned hands.
“How have you been holding out, comrade?” The green jumpsuited falcon teammate inquired.
“Shear? How did you…an-and Baki…?”
