The efforts to curtail the population of the shadowy creatures had been going swimmingly, any of the larger ones that tried charging at the two getting either a series of smaller plasma bolts through them or a larger, concentrated blast, resulting in them vanishing in a cloud of whatever substance they were made of. Any buildings hit would be seared completely, even if collateral damage due to the longevity of each shot, the two responsible keeping their shots as precise as possible. The smaller of the two would occasionally prop himself onto one of the paws of the larger figure to steady his aim for targeting any of the greater threats, something the larger figure held the appendage still for while also firing at others.
