Kieri's father speaks as if Kieri wasn't forced to fight her mother... And how can anyone think that a mother who leaves her child in that state on purpose loves her?

Sadly this is something that happens in real life
Family and some close by will excuse, justify or even deflect the cause of the abuse back to the abused

I agree, I've heard many a tale where it's the child's fault that the family is in debt, because of a lack of protection, therefore making the child the conduit of all the now family problems

Someone beating up a child until she has to go to a hospital to see if she can help her fulfil her thirst for revenge is definitely NOT a form of love, you stupid abuse enabler!

Yeah seriously. Did the dumbass loose some of his brain along with that arm or is he just THAT dejectedly stupid?

He somehow seems to genuinely believe that his wife beating up their daughter until she's almost dead and trying to force her thirst of revenge against all demons onto Kieri is a form of love, maybe because that's what their angel society wants their kids to believe. In a previous chapter he was shown teaching something like that all demons are mindless beasts, uncapable of feeling anything other than hate or to do anything but attack anyone in their sight and that if you kill a demon, you're doing a favor to everyone. Maybe he thinks his wife is being a good mother by trying to make Kieri follow those teachings even if it's through such extreme ways like abuse.

Then he’s a fool.

If someday we see Kieri meeting her parents in person again, I hope all she went through with Buwaro and Rhea gave her the courage to stand up to her mother and father about how all the abuse she went through wasn't love and that a demon like her boyfriend has given her more true love than both her parents gave her since she hatched.

Pretty much, yeah! Momieri just drew her swords and jumped on Kieri! Kieri's only "provocation" was catching Momieri's hand instead of letting herself be hit.

This isn’t love. This is straight up abuse and the dad is just making excuses to cover for it. Wouldn’t be surprised if Kieri went NC with her parents in the future.

Well the father was definitely useless by trying justify outright abuse as “being stressed”.

You know, between Kieri crying over feeling like she’ll maybe finally live up to her family expectations, getting told that her mother loves her despite doing things which visibly hurt her, and all of this being justified as preparing her in case she has to go through the same pain as her parents, this has been hitting a few too many notes close to home. Good job. It’s uncanny how accurate this is.

As somebody who experienced loss of a family member and someone who doesn't get along with the rest of their family I relate deeply

Ain't nothin' wrong or broken about Kieri except what this toxic environment forced into her.
