Over her long life, Amaterasu has faced off against countless demons. Orochi, Blight, the twins Lechku and Nechku, even the dark lord Yami just to name a few. However, much to her shock, one day she felt the presence of another powerful demon, one who tried to become a god and even copied some of their powers; Ninetails. She quickly began searching for her, wanting to defeat her before she could create another Oni Island. She soon tracked the presence down to an old shrine in the middle of the forest. Ammy approached with caution as Ninetails disguised themselves as a priestess when they first met millenia ago. However much to her surprise, Ninetails wasn’t in a disguise, however she was now an anthro, and only 6 tails were showing. But what surprised her most was her reaction when they noticed her, panicking and begging for a chance to explain. Confused, Amaterasu allowed it, and Ninetails explained that they weren’t the same one as back then, literally. Instead of the fox Ammy fought, she was a local nameless goddess, worshiped at the shrine. Or she was at least, until she found the dark instrument used by the original Ninetails; the Fox Rods. They had survived when Amaterasu killed Ninetails years ago, however after the defeat of Yami, they lost their dark powers over time, the spirits residing inside fading to practically nothing. But slivers of their powers remained, hiding in the instrument as it passed from person to person. Recently someone brought it to the shrine, although the new Ninetails didn’t know why. But after the person left, she pulled out the fox rods, and sensing the divine power she had, they merged with her, transforming her into Ninetails, the surge of energy being the presence Ammy sensed. However with their dark power being weakened over time, she retained her good nature instead of being like the original. Her powers were also limited, only able to have six tails at most for regular use, although she can use more for a short time in exchange for leaving her exhausted afterwards. Ammy knew it was only a matter of time before the demons took notice of this Ninetails and came for her, and while she could take care of the smaller ones, eventually a major demon would come to take the fox rods to use to spread darkness, so she invited her to come with her for protection and training, to which Ninetails accepted

Personality: Despite the old legends, this version is quite good natured thanks to the lack of corruption from the fox rods. Being trained by Amaterasu to better use her powers, she vows to use them for good
