Ah, seems I was just getting ahead of the concerns of informing a past self about future events.
That last frame reminds of something I heard recently, which I can paraphrase as "It's a good thing writing doesn't impact reality, otherwise the act of writing a story is about the most unethical thing you could do".

I struggled for several weeks to write the script for this sub-arc, then to arrange the pieces into a coherent narrative. Then I threw out half the dialog and wrote strips as I was drawing them.
So the last panel on this page is a bit of a joke on the creative process.
