It's 1990 and the three at grade crossings on Laurel Road in Golden Valley, MN are being rebuilt. This is former MN&S trackage, at the time SOO. The rebuild took several weeks and amazingly the crossing signals remained operating the entire time. Eventually the bells were unhooked so that nearby houses could get some sleep at night.
This particular crossing is actually a lead to Liberty Paper, a customer that even today gets a few trainloads almost every day.
