This is Sigimund Holmes. The frontline warrior of my team of heroes.

He was born and raised in a mountaintop village, adopted as a farmer's son who managed to thrive in the frequently-freezing setting. He grew strong and hardy, defending his family farm from bandits and monsters alike, performing incredible feats of strength and endurance from a young age and taking on a sort of folk hero reputation. He's used his body to shield others from the arrows of invaders. He's personally located lost children in a snowstorm. There are tales that his roar diverted an avalanche, but that's surely a mere fable.

Before heading down from his mountain home, he found an inheritance in the attic. He was the descendant of a great hero, a freedom fighter and adventurer who went by the alias "Caper Oddway". Though his ancestor was a legendarily clever thief, Sigmund more frequently used his physique. Yet, he was inspired by the tales of his ancestor - more surprised to learn that his ancestor was a small lynx, but tracing the family tree all the way to his tigon father and snow leopard mother made more sense.

His adopted father was supportive of his son's dream to become a great hero like his ancestor. They sold the farm, using the money to move to a city with an adventurer's guild that he could sign up in. His father was old enough to retire, and happily used some of his own money to buy a house that would keep him warm and comfortable in his old age, as long as Sigimund could earn bits of money from his adventures.

Sigimund's clear skill and strength, combined with his confidently friendly demeanor, made him an excellent fit for the adventurer's guild. Though they were in for a shock when he asked to go by an alias, similar to his ancestor. He chose the name "Pilfer Oddway".
