If Krystal inherited her agility and prowess from her mother, she inherited her magical abilities from her grandmother. As with most Cerinians, magic is most predominate among the females, though males are also capable of wielding it. So is the case with Krystal's grandmother and grandfather. With great age comes great wisdom, and with it, a greater mastery over the magic arts. Such mastery allows even old sages like themselves to learn new tricks.
