These vines appeared in the corner of the yard a few years ago. I leave them alone for now. Sometimes I collect and eat the berries. They are a bit tart.

Yum! I love them, been a while since I picked any. Have shared a berry patch along Oak Creek in Sedona AZ with a Coyote. We just looked at each other for a moment the we both sort of shrugged and went back to pigging out on ripe berries. Was a stay on your side type of agreement. Done the same there with a Mule Deer Doe. No sudden moves or intruding into the zone of comfort.
Good Gods, teh *BANE* of our existence here in the 'Great Northwest!' Do I LUV eet in 'Jam/flavourings?' Yes, yes I do. Now, to keep the damned things at bay, or worse 10x over, RECLAIMING land/vehicles/bldgs. these tenacious, barbed fiends of the foliage have claimed/taken-over?
There's legitimate reasons owning a flamethrower is still valid (My attempts to call in the Ntl. Guard for a few napalm drops got me on a few 'Lists' and a lovely little 'Visit' from the 'Men in Black.' :-D ).
