I've been thinkin'.. well, Applejack is the more "American" pony (apple pie anyone?), but Rainbow Dash is the one who actually wants to join the Wonderbolts.. which is rather like a number of military flight groups (the Thunderbolts being the most obvious), so.. maybe they'll have an episode where she goes to a boot camp or equivalent? Yeah.. that'd work!
True enough, I was just going for the obvious with the name.. serves me right for posting late (early?) without sleep!
I guess my point was that it'd be nice if there a military role-model for girls too, which this series could do in the context of flight training, and also further develop Rainbow Dash's character at the same time.
.. that, and it'd be pretty sweet if such an episode was made and then they gave RD an honorary rank in reality for a positive service portrayal.. :)
