Zariganindo and Spincobra (Supinkobura) were a duo of Gori Kaiju who appeared in Episodes 30 and 31 of the Spectreman tv series; "Terror Comes Ashore Monster Tag-Match" and "Protect the Lighthouse".
_Appearance and Abilities_
Zariganindo was a mutant reddish color Hermit Crab: like any Hermit Crab, it sport claws -one bigger than the other - and a shell; it had spikes on the top and back of the head, four legs (though the 2nd pair was smaller and hang from the body, and wasn't seen to have any function) and had scales on its back. It had a long mouth covered in sharp teeth. While the 2nd Kaiju in the episode, the monster was the first to be seen fully on screen before its partner, Spincobra.
It's abilities included, using its claws to pierce and cut its foes – smacking seems more likely – and an electrical discharge was seeing emitting from them when impacting an object – though it is possible this were sparks, but I digress; it also had air breath to turn off fires, which it was weak to, and would hide on its Shell for Protection. The beast could lay eggs in large numbers, which it was overprotective of. It's roar seem to have been a slowed down sound of Gyaos'.
Spincobra was a Sea Weed monster that Gori created to work along side the Crab monster Zariganindo, and was the first monster to appear when attacking the vessel at the start, but was not shown on screen until coming to the aid of its partner. The beast was fully covered in Sea Weed, with a red head, its eyes were located on its antenna.
Its only talents were to consume pollutants to grow stronger, use its Sea Weeds as tendrils and possess regeneration capabilities that benefited its partner from any harm, as well it used it to regenerate one of its eyes after George cut it with a knife.
_History_
Spincobra is the first monster to take action as it attack and sinks a ship, with one survivor, in a ploy by Gori to stop maritime traffic; he then sends the beast to feed on the pollutants that are dumped on the sea in coastal refineries to grown stronger, while in the meantime, Kurata sends out the Pollution Squad (minus John) to investigate the incidents.
Reaching a fishing village, they are shock to discover huge eggs the size of beach balls been collected by the locals who suspect it be turtle eggs, which has kept them from starving though to poor fishing, but also inform them about the strange sea weed, which they come to see it has compacted so much to the cost one can walk without the of swim, finding an Egg near by, they take it for study; the Expert concludes it to be from a Mutated crab and are about ti hatch.
Concern for the villager, the team warns them and begin to destroy the Eggs in fire, but a couple hide theirs for consumption; George and Margaret make one last round to make sure no one else has any, meeting a child and his grandfather, the lighthouse keeper. As the purge the beach concludes, the monster Zariganindo emerges from the sea and witnesses the destruction of its unborn offspring, it incurs it's and Gori's wrath, and the Beast goes on a rampage.
In the chaos, George and Margaret return, with more eggs to destroy, but George, with the help of Otto, decided to uses the remaining eggs to lure the beast out of the village, throwing them (with explosives? - dunno, they just explode suddenly). Succeeding in this task, George ask Otto to give him the last one and bails, guiding the monster away; in his NFL game of fancy, George gets smack off a cliff, and transforms into Spectreman, to topples the monster with a flying kick.
The titans tussle and Spectreman proves the better opponent of the two; tossing it to a mountain, then pushing another mountain to pin the creature down with a massive boulder; the monster escapes and tries to smack Spectreman down with its electrical discharge; Spectreman gets the idea to uses the charge to light a tree on fire and in turn burns one of the monster's claw, causing it to panic, finding its weakness but puts the fire out with Air Breath. The beast then sees Margaret, John with a Villager running towards the Light House, but Spectreman cuts its path and one of its Right Claw with his Spectre cutters, falling close to them. Spincobra then shows up to aid its Comrade and the monster tosses Spectreman, reverting back to George, then provides aid to Zariganindo by regenerating its severed arm with a new claw.
George gathers up with the others as the Monsters follow them all the way to the light house, where they seek refuge, with the boy and his grandfather. Otto can only watch from a distance as they corner the whole group and have the light house under siege. John arrives and he and Otto proceed to tell the locals to evacuate as Zariganindo rampages across the village once more while Spincobra stays at the lighthouse; the two groups are still able to communicate by radio and recommend the others to stay put until the Army shows up; Zariganindo then returns to the light house Otto goes to search for Eggs to use as bait.
As the people in the light house wait with the structure shaking and the monsters roars, the Villager panics, desperate to return to his wife and children, but George and John holds him for his safety, though with a second scuffle, he uncovers by accident a secret batch of Eggs the keeper had hidden, lying that he had dumped away in the groups earlier visit, storing it for food. The Villager, in desperation tries to destroy them, blaming their predicament on the old man for having horde them in secret then tries to attack the elder in anger; this prompt the child to sing a Light house song, which tempers the flares down.
Meanwhile as the Army arrives, Otto shows up with another Egg in hand, and with it distracts Zariganindo away, allowing for the JSDF to attack the beast; Spincobra, seeing this, comes to its partner's aid and both try to run into the ocean, but the army gives no quarter, some tanks actually going of the thick sheet of Seas Weed to follow them; Spincobra grabs some and toss them to the other tanks, as Zariganindo heads back to the light house to recover the last eggs, with Spincobra following.
In the siege of the light house, George puts the old man down when the lens of light house is destroy and takes the knife, attacking Spincobra with it and cutting one of its eyes out (Yeah this sequence is like badly put, dunno George goes to from the basement to the top of the Kaiju in like 0.5 seconds), calls for Over Lord and transforms.
Spectreman tries to separate the two by taking Zariganindo first, but comes to see Spincobra is taking the light house (land and everything) out to sea. Spectreman drags Zariganindo to land, forcing the 2nd Kaiju to follow and beats the former with a rock, though its stop by a Sea Weed tendril of Spincobra's; Zariganindo hides in its shell for protection, but Spectreman kicks him around. The Cyborg goes to save the light house, but Spincobra tries to stop him. In the scuffle, Spectreman breaks free and tosses Zariganindo (still in its shell) back to shore, with Spincobra going after it; remembering the former's weakness, the Cyborg grabs a fire and sets the shell a blaze, prompting the monster to run to the sea with it to turn off - this allows Spectreman to dispatch both Kaiju for good with Spectre flash.
With the battle won, the people trap in the light house are able to come out and reunite with George and the others.
