Feels like it's been quite awhile since I last commissioned a SFW solo pic of Melee... it's definitely the first such pic I've gotten this year, that's for sure!

I've hit up Mano Lon about drawing my characters before; I commissioned this artist to do Sharon for me back in 2023, and I was so pleased with the results that I just had to see them work their magic with my other dragon. I finally got a chance to do that recently, and the results are... yeah, pretty good, I think! The idea was that Melee was supposed to stumbling and tripping backwards, though I feel it could also be easily be interpreted as Melee suddenly realizing he forgot to do something important (such as putting out the campfire before departing for a new destination). Be it clumsiness or forgetfulness, either would seem in-character for my timid squire.

I also want to say that I really like the color choices here, with the warm colors of the background contrasting nicely with the cool colors of Melee's clothing. Something similar was done in the Sharon pic, too - cool background colors to go with her warm color scheme. Very smart of the artist. Hopefully, you'll all agree and will like the pic I got just as much as I did when I first saw it!
