A bit of lore here, while CatNap is somewhat a vampire, he can't have just any blood due to the curse he was given when he was brought to this world. Along with keeping his memories, his bloodshed in the past has made him a vampire, one who can only be satisfied by those he once loved and cared for, and still does.
Normal blood does not satiate him as well as a simple pint of blood from DogDay, Kickin or any of the other Critters. But having it from DogDay alone isn’t enough to sustain him.
