Turquoise Hills while notable for already being quite the odd place to reside for most Pokèmon. The town has one very recently added rule you need to be EXTREMELY WARY OF.

The w-word. DO NOT SAY IT! Recently a lil' Teddiursa had hatched from an egg with powers off the scales. Her name is Teddy, a curious, upbeat young bear who lives with a certain Raichu researcher who had managed to tame her with a lot of soup and hugs. However, there is one thing about Teddy that can't be controlled... Her want to grant wishes.

The moment they hear the magic word... poof. She's gone... Where does she go? To grant a wish of course! She can hear across the whole town, noted for having "impeccable hearing". Even saying that w-word silently could very well still cause her to appear.

While a Pokèmon who grants wishes sounds amazing. With Teddy... 95% of the time you're gonna be in for something wild. Operating like a genie, she's very tricky, taking your words extremely literally and even if you did ask very specifically, she may add her own twist just for the funsies.

You'll likely never get exactly what you want with her and due to her stubbornness and unsurprising "no take backsies" rule common among most of these wish granters. Her effects can be very hard to reverse sometimes. Due to all this, the Town Hall has advised all residents, tourists and other vistors to not under any circumstance say the word WISH. The now forbidden w-word.

While most Pokèmon always keep this in mind, some can sometimes have a simple slip of the tongue or even simply forget for a brief moment. This would happen to a certain neon cat who likes to boast with Gray dragged into the chaos...
