Mamm-Er.. Pectoral Month - D'shea's Downtime
While chatting, I showed this to Kaltezar, he pretty much guessed the scenario and what was going on to the letter. I like it when a story/scene can be conveyed with just a single picture. I like it when folks really do pick up on it and get something out of it. When it matches up to what I intended, it gives the warm fuzzies I strive to feel.
What I don't like is when a picture doesn't end up how I wanted it. So much I'm unsatisfied with, and believe me I'm aware of the flaws. Feels like I'm losing the ability to will things to how I want them. Or is it because what I tend to want was within the safety limits of my ability and now I'm reaching outside of that boundary? Learning hurts.

That's really good art. Very few people touch on that topic matter more becuase they don't want back lash.
Then again, I know this from experiance, as I was the smallest kid in my class from grade 6 one to grade 11. By then though I had learned that even having strength, its better to understand when to use it, and when not to.
Nice picture again.

Factor in a constantly changing boundary, and it's really hard to know exactly what's within your limits. I know what you mean when you say you only see your art through the lens of what you intended it to be.
By the way I love the glow and the use of space in the background.

Absolutely brilliant image Caz, I can't say that enough I think :}
So for the rest of you, this is what I wrote:
"What I see here, is a youngish kid. He's likely just starting out in high school. He's working out to improve himself for something... noble, honorable. It's not a case of trying to do it for fame or power, he just wants to better himself. The garage is old, somewhat worn down, in the back of the propriety. There's cobwebs, lots of dust. The weights were his fathers, stored away somewhere. So, every day after school, he disappears to the garage for a hour or so, the door's closed and he quietly works out with just the evening's light coming through the single window. Despite how strenuous the activity, it's his time for relaxing and concentrating on something he can achieve."
Artwork which tells a story... is precious artwork indeed.

Its good 80's montage music, usually for working out compilations.
