Here's Inle, a Yoruba/Brazillian deity who was apparently regarded as a patron of homosexual and transgender people (making him a perfect candidate for this series).
This was based on a particular story about him: his mother, Yemaha, was tricked into having sex with her son, Shango, and to hide her shame, she banished Inle and his brother, Abbata, to the bottom of the ocean, and additionally cut out Inle's tongue and made Abbata deaf. After some time, Inle and Abbata fell in love and learned to communicate empathetically. Yes, they were brothers, but honestly, what brand of mythology doesn't contain incest?
I thought of drawing Inle and Abbata together, but I couldn't find any information on Abbata other than this one story, so just have Inle expressing love without words.
