Holy fucking shit, Sketch drawing a yellow and black horse that ISN’T Spirit? Yes actually

Like I said in my previous drawing I recently finished reading The Heavenly Horse from the Outermost West by Mary Stanton so here’s fanart of the buckskin mare protagonist, Duchess.

Highly recommend this book for animal xenofiction fans btw, especially if you like horses. The worldbuilding and lore is mad creative and the plot and characters are neat as fuck. There’s a lot of obvious Watership Down inspiration as well but it’s such a good story on its own.
