Aelius is Aliyah's son and Orianne's twin brother, but was separated during the Auranan genocide. During the Auranan Genocide, many Auranan warriors stood their ground to buy their people time to escape, Aelius was among the warriors. After holding their ground while suffering heavy causalities, they learned that the surviving Aurarans managed to escape to multiple to enclave realms (imagine craftworlds from 40k) where the Orrathons would never reach them. But the Auranan warriors soon learned what became of Aliyah and her daughters, they disappeared without a trace. Many assumed the worst and prefer to die in combat to take as much as the Orrathons with them, however Aelius refuse to believe his family is dead. Instead, he took command of the warrior remnants and brought them to another enclave realm where they'll use it as their base to wage guerilla warfare on the Orrathons and try to find his family. Overtime they've been losing warriors and lost their base to the Orrathons, now Aurelius and what remains of his warriors now live as nomads. But when the Orrathons were wiped out by the Dresari, they took upon themselves to protect the enclave realms from any potential Orrathon resurgence or any threat. Aelius wanted to find his family, but choices he was given was either abandon his people to search for his family or abandon his family to protect his people. The choice he made ate his spirit and wishes that his family would forgive him for not finding them.

Millennia later, The United Imperium soon learned of the Auranan enclave realms after the first contact of Anella's Auranan Remnants. With all haste, they began to find the enclave realms and establish contact before the Imperium's enemies beat them first. Along the way, the Imperium encountered Aulieus' warrior group renamed "Auranan Guardians". Him and his guardians were wary by the humans presence and their motifs, he feared the humans are a threat to his people and prepared for the worst scenario. But his fears were laid to rest when he saw his own mother and his sisters, alive and well.
After a heartwarming reunion, the rest of the Auranan enclave realms was under Imperial protection and Aelius was brought up to speed on what happened during his isolation from the rest of the realms.
