Okay, now that upload spam is over with, time for a more serious note.
It's pride month! Usually this is a time people come out with their identities (though it's never restricted to this month, it's just a nice time to announce things), and I was no different. I've considered myself bisexual for many years. It's switched about a little. I first thought I was gay, then noticed I was bisexual much later and have always been that way, but what I never really touched upon was my gender identity as a whole.
I always considered myself cisgender, so I thought I was the gender assigned with at birth, but eagle eyed folks probably notice that I always went with "he/they" pronouns. This wasn't meant to mean much, it was to stick it to people who didn't understand language, and I seriously never cared for folks to refer to me as "they", because that's just language as a whole. However... there was more to the "they" than I realised, especially over the past 6 months or so. I started to feel a little bit detached from the "male" moniker. I still am male, but I am more in touch with the non-binary side of things than I once was, but not too deep to say I was non-binary. I then remembered that some friends identify as demi-gender. I looked into it a little more, and came to the conclusion; I'm a demiboy.
I kept it a little hush because I wanted to be sure, and pride month was going to be the time I felt would be best to announce it. I still hadn't quite been concrete about it, until this art piece was placed into my paws, so I'm happy to say I'm a bisexual demiboy and I definitely now go by he/they.
So yeah, hoist your colours high and be proud of the labels you feel you are. You're never too old to discover your true identity. I'm still doing so at 36, after all!
