When my uncle was stationed at Tyndall AFB, FL, he ran the scoreboard for the interceptor competition. He wasn't a pilot, but managed to get a joyride in the then-new F-101B interceptor. The representative from McDonnell Aircraft presented him with this desk model. He gave it to me before he passed on. Not certain of the scale, but could be 1:72 which is common.
I later learned that my uncle was a CAP cadet in 1944, the same time as Arnold Palmer, of whom he bore a strong resemblance.
