Another new OC, say hi to Wight: SASR Combat Cyborg and part of a little world building project I'll be working on from time to time.
She's the product of Project Kumanjayi, a program ran by the Republic of Australia's Department of Defence that keeps high-value soldiers in the fight. Through Defence Science and Technology Group assets, the program makes digital personality engrams of volunteers that are implanted into cybernetically enhanced, genetically modified clones. These units are intended to be both supplementary personnel/specialist equipment and a precaution, meant to preserve talent in a field where these volunteers are likely to be exposed to conditions that could lead to injury or death. It's not unusual for these units and their geno-engramatic donors to be active personnel at the same time, but for some like Wight, they woke up after their naturally born counterparts already having fallen in the line of duty.
Despite having no memories of the person she was before the brain scan, Wight is a fun loving girl who'll just as likely outdrink a bloke at the pub as she'll put a man in the dirt on the battlefields of the mid 2080s, so don't be too intimidated by her tall stature or battle-hardened enhancements. But try to stay on her good side, she's tolerant but quick to anger if you strike the right nerve.
