I just wanted to add that I love the fact you managed to update the original while still keeping it looking old school. This very much looks like something that could have been done on an Amiga back in the day. I love the slightly sketchy linework and the way it has that 80's TSR feel.
Wow, thank you so so much! ♥️🦈 That feels like such a genuine compliment, especially the comparison to TSR (one of my childhood inspirations haha). I did draw this using a more contemporary program, but I turned off the anti-aliasing settings on all of my brushes and tried to work in as few layers as possible to retain the same feeling as I used to get when I’d draw in programs like MS Paint haha.

It really does feel like something someone would have done in Deluxe paint. I've been getting into pixel art and hope to eventually do some old-school style art like this. I really love it and am happy to see pixel art is enjoying a bit of a renaissance now. I use Pixelorama for pixel art. It's a really great program.
