There's a few details that finally came to a head in ths page. Like how in two pages previously (not saying where) Sasha has been scratching his arm all night, so it's not just some random thing he's doing at this moment.

So their bodies are going through a bit of change? Like a maturing thing. Cooool deal. I love alternate biologies and whatnot. Sometimes it can seem tacked on, but when done right it REALLY sticks you in another world.

Yeah. All kuvs go through it to some extent or another. Like on the forums in the FAQ, it's described that all kuvs have at least three markings. Two secondary ones they get from each parent, and a primary one that's unique one. This primary one is what they pass on to the offspring and becomes a secondary to all children they have, and all the children have their own primary that's unique.

And I say unique, but that doesn't mean that it can't be similar to someone else or even a duplicate. I should categorize a lot of the common ones some day ...

Would different markings mean different body types/personalities/etc? Or would they be pretty random? I know some people like to put a lot of stock into that. I was wondering if that would be the case here.

Not particularly. It's random, but for the most part passed down from generation to generation. In Ruth's instance, I pretty much deem that the marking on his forehead is either his own unique one, or he gets it from his mother. The markings aside from those can be equated to something such as random colouration in a lizard. Blotches, stripes, etc.

Ya know, I thought Ruth looked different in this arc, I just could never place what it was.

As my abilities increased during this arc and I found out new tricks here and there, his hair has gained a bit more body over time, but the general idea is still the same. And the markings too.

Noticed this near the start only because I found Ruth so amusing before.
It gives him an angry face, ehehe.

Well, it's just colour patterns they gain. Some gain a lot, some gain little. They all have at least three different specific patterns or specific marks.
