Battle Against an Authoritative Opponent (Sketch)
What an evil protagonist sees when they rock up to Jack City. Dog either hasn't learned ACAB yet or is benefitting from using the fox cops' "services", whichever is the more charitable description.
In all serious the fox cops are [supposed to be good guy police], happy to fight [actual] crime to break up their boring days. Typical superhero comic stuff where they just know what the right and good things to do are, make good arrests, don't do more damage to the criminals than they need to, and don't sit around talking about big fat nothingburgers when the supposed criminal they're dealing with is not doing so hot (having heat stroke, is suffering from a potentially lethal injury, etc.)
On the other hand their more caring and heroic natures make them a bit less prepared for things like surprise pistol quickdraws and saturday morning cartoon-styled supervillain jailbreaks but it's a small price to pay for not leaving labyrinthine graveyards and unnecessarily overcrowded prisons full of wrongfully convicted in their wake.
As for Dog's leadership and cooperation with them, he really doesn't need their help to fix any problem by himself but since he's honorary to their ranks as a magical supersoldier he does commend some amount of leadership when he's around and it helps with smalltime crooks who are too stupid and greedy to give up in the face of impossible odds. Anyone more dangerous showing up and he'd rather not risk the lives of good men in the upcoming tussle.
