I spent a goddamn week on this bassline, my head hurts so bad hahahaha...
I feel dumb as shit.
Distorted as fuck dumb dubstep and a dumb vocal sample and dumb synths and dumb pads.

it was ducking a bit too much when I did it because i wanted to use a resonant, wide-frequency-ranging metallic snare and not a low punchy snare where you cut out the highs like most dubstep. I only know like two artists that can do it well and that's Gancher and The Panacea, everyone else uses two instruments for the bass and highs and I wanted them as one instrument to create a bond between the resonance of the bassline and the actual bass.
Here's a tip: it sounds like a lot of the baselines restoration is coming from clipping, which if that is the case, bringing drums up to level will destroy them, and bringing the bass down will remove some of the distortion. If that is the case, it can be fixed by bouncing a track of just the clipping basslin, and putting that track in with the drums as a wav, mp3, etc. And then the distorted bassline can be made quieter without sacrificing filth :D
If I'm wrong about the clipping, though, then u just need more compression.
