I don't see why people would try to convince you not to be a mother, if that's what you want. Parenthood's not for everyone, that's true. I know I'd never make a good parent in the slightest. Not because I don't like kids or anything like that, but just because it's not something I've ever wanted. But if it's something you want then why not? Besides, those who actually want to be parents probably make the best ones. Even if you aren't ready for one now, even if your life is full of problems-and who's life isn't?-that doesn't mean it will always be that way.

I've read comments on other drawings like this where people were trying to convince the artist otherwise... I wrote it mostly as a precaution.

People just don't know when to leave well enough alone. Everyone has their own life to live, and their own goals and desires. You know when you're ready for something and while some of those people might have meant well it's not really their decision. I do know what you mean, though. Everyone seems to feel like they can put in their two cents on the way other people live their lives. I won't say I'm innocent of that, either. Humans are a judgmental species by nature, I guess. But I do wish you luck and happiness for the future!

I was on accident and I gave it up. It's a hard thing to do but I knew I couldn't raise it. Be very careful until you're ready...because I've done nothing but cry the last week.
