so it seems like very recently google maps added a brand new country to street view, that being the gambia in west africa! this is a semi-enclave country with ocean on its west, surrounded by senegal on its other three sides. its only land is a small area surrounding the gambia river
heres the reference i used, taking place in latrikunda, serekunda to the southwest of the gambias capital, banjul. seems like its a local sale called 'ya fatou cham's secret corner'. couldnt find anything about it unsurprisingly
also, i dont even have a folder for this character yet, but i have an isolate yo-yo character that isnt part of my main quintet of characters, but will occasionally appear among them like in this picture
june 21, 2024 EDIT: im pretty sure this gambian street view is NOT official since the top left says 'Africa 360 View' and not the city and subdivision, but i still think its cool. fundamentally its basically the same as official street view since you can still simulate driving around and stuff. by the way what i think is especially cool is that Africa 360 View actually partnered with the gambian government to produce these
