Not even sorry, I found a brush for it and it just seemed to fit so perfectly. Mermaids come in as many flavours as humans and then some probably, so why not do something that isn't your typical Princess? Dark colors and dark skin... imperfections are what make us unique, and this Mermaid certainly stands out in all the right ways.

"Vitiligo is a chronic (long-lasting) autoimmune disorder that causes patches of skin to lose pigment or color. This happens when melanocytes – skin cells that make pigment – are attacked and destroyed, causing the skin to turn a milky-white color." In my opinion it's a beautiful disorder that needs to be better understood and celebrated, so here's my take and I'm so absolutely astonished with the beauty I ended up creating.
