Imola Mantovani is a friend of Sabrina’s that she met during her college years, in part thanks to her family connections (something Sabrina would kinda regret using later in life, though not regretting the friendship). A Formula One racer, Imola initially came to Sabrina in her F2 days looking for help with her near permanently detached head, being a full blooded dullahan, so she could both race better, and make the step up to F1. They pretty rapidly bonded over their detachments, with Sabrina even backing her racing career and team fully, giving her a small supply of focused nanites to help keep her head fully secured during races. Now she’s an F1 gran prix champion (though not world champion yet heh), who still races for Ferrari, though having changed teams once or twice in her career.

Dullahan in my world are the original modulars, in a way. While only able to naturally detach their heads (of which many actually have a harder time keeping their heads attached), with their natural magic able to be easily manipulated and transferred to a blade, they regularly detach other parts of themselves and others. Imola is no different, though she very much prefers to keep her body in one piece. It has become a routine though to only attach her head just before a race, once her helmet is fully fitted.
