This is my long-overdue gift for my friend, Philippe Vidal, who was the showrunner for the CGI animated TV series, The Garfield Show, which I had watched during my childhood when it aired. I met Philippe online and I wanted to make this gift for him involving not just Jim Davis's own characters, Garfield, Jon Arbuckle, and Odie, but also Monkey Punch's very own manga/anime star, Lupin the 3rd, because Philippe is also a fellow Lupin fan where he's teasing the caged fat cat with his personal favorite, lasagna. However, it comes with a looney surprise that fits with this master thief's taste in comedy. On the left, features Philippe's own character who is a personal favorite of his he made for The Garfield Show, Winona Cauldron.

And why Garfield is jailed in a cage? Let's just say it's pure karma justice for being too much of a bad cat. Ha-ha!

This is my first time ever making Lupin lll and Garfield tribute art and I hope this pays homage to both franchises with a fun joke, and a thoughtful gift for Philippe.
