LOL I've had a couple of employers do that to me... for some odd reason my replacement couldn't do the job.

One place I took all tooling and fixtures I made from scrap turned it back to scrap when I was told to clean up my work space for the newbie. A few days later I loaded up my tools and left. The owner can to me a week or so later wanting to know why I "walked out". Told him you ask your lead... then ask me.

A week later he was back and offered me a raise, I declined and told him it was a mess of his own making. I bumped into one of the guys I was working with there and learned others walk out after I did.

A few months later the shop had a for lease sign hanging on the front. Odd things happen when you piss off people that know the job and do it well.

It was a volunteer position that I excelled at, but someone thought they could do it better. Plus someone was seeking revenge.

That's when it hurts the worst because you were doing it for the Kids and the CAP.
