The leg swinging-- It is! It's something I still kind of subconsciously engage in if I'm on a tall enough chair in a resaurant or bar.
And well, here's the thing wiht "omg Sans is threatening a kid". Think back to Undyne knowing one of the secrets to a human's power (also stated in canon): if a human strikes a monster with intent to harm, that blow can be fatal. That's why most monsters that aren't Boss monster can be taken out by a little kid swinging a stick. :P
